তামান্না আক্তার : শিশু অধিকার বাস্তবায়নে ঠিক কতটা শক্ত পদেক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে সে সন্ধানে এবার বান্দরবান সরকারি শিশু পরিবারে পাড়ি জমালো বান্দরবান জেলা এনসিটিএফ কমিটি ।শিশুরা আদৌ তাদের অধিকার ও মৌলিক চাহিদা পূরণে সক্ষম হচ্ছে কিনা সেই খোঁজেই ২১-০৯-১৫ ইং তারিখে সকাল ১০ টায় শিশু পরিবার পরির্দশনে যায়। বান্দরবান সরকারি শিশু পরিবার পরিদর্শণে ছিল এনসিটিএফ কমিটির সদস্যরা । এতিম ও অনাথ এসব শিশুরা কতটা সহানুভূতি পায় তা জানা ও ছিল পরিদর্শনের মূল লক্ষ্য।বান্দরবান, লামা,আলীকদম,থানছি ,রুমা,রোযাংছড়ি,নাইক্ষ্যংছড়ি প্রভৃতি প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চল থেকে উঠে আসা অনাথ শিশুরা কি পাচ্ছে তাদের যোগ্য প্রাপ্য ? এনসিটিএফ কমিটির এই প্রশ্নের জবাবে শিশু পরিবারের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা মং এচিং (ছদ্মনাম) জানান “শিশুরা তাদের যোগ্য প্রাপ্যটাই পাচ্ছে। অন্ন ,বস্ত্র,শিক্ষা ,চিকিৎসা বাসস্থান ইত্যাদি বিশেষ করে শিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে কোনো সংকটে নেই তাদের জীবনে ”বান্দরবান এনসিটিএফ কার্যকারী কমিটি শিশু পরিবার সংলগ্ন স্কুল পরির্দশন করে। সেখানে কাঠামোগত ত্রুটি পরিলক্ষিত হয়। স্কুলের ২য় তলায় স্বাস্থ্যসম্মত ল্যাট্রিন থাকলে ও রয়েছে পানির সংকট। আর পানিবিহীন টয়লেট ব্যবহার করে স্বাস্থ্যকর টয়লেট হয়ে পড়ছে অস্বাস্থ্যকর। শ্রেণিকক্ষে পাঠদানের সময় বেতের ব্যবহার লক্ষ্য করা হলে পাঠদানকারী শিক্ষিকা জানান বাচ্চাদের নিয়ন্ত্রণে ব্যবহার রাখার জন্যই রাখা হয়েছে। অন্যথা বেত দিয়ে শারীরিক শাস্তি দেয়ার প্রশ্ন ই উঠে না।

CYMERA_20150921_112550মানসম্মত ক্লাসরুম এবং পাঠদানে মনযোগী বৃদ্ধির ফলে শীঘ্রই অসহায় এসব শিশুরা অর্জন করবে সাফল্যের বিজয় মুকুট, এমন আশা ও ব্যক্ত করেন তিনি ২য় শ্রেণিতে পড়ুয়া ছাত্র যেন তারই একটি উদাহারণ পিতৃহারা মংমং (ছদ্মনাম) কে তার ভবিষ্যত পরিকল্পনা সর্ম্পকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হলে নির্ভিকচিত্তে সে উত্তর দেয় “আমি বড় হয়ে শিক্ষক হতে চাই” ।বান্দরবান এনসিটিএফ কার্যকারী কমিটির সদস্যদের পরির্দশনের এই ছোট্র পদক্ষেপ জাতিকে জানাতে চায় একটি বৃহৎ সত্য আর তা হলো “প্রত্যেক শিশুই অন্তরে লালন করে একাট নির্দিষ্ট স্বপ্ন, কিন্তু তারা কতটা সফল হতে পারবে তা নির্ধারণ করে নিখুত চাওয়া,সত্যি তো এটাই যে আমরা চাই দারিদ্র্য অশিক্ষা এবং পশুত্ববিহীন মানবতার সোনার বাংলা,যা দেবে ভবিষ্যতের নাগরিক শিশুরা ” আসুন আমরা অনাথ সেসব শিশুদের দিকে সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়ে দেই ।আমাদের ক্ষুদ্র প্রায়াস তৈরি করবে ভবিষ্যতের নাগরিক সেই শিশুদের জীবন, যারা অন্তরে লালতি করে ।দেশকে এগিয়ে নেযার লুক্কায়িত স্বপ্ন

 

DISCOVERY CHANEL DISCOVER NCTF

NCTF is a role model for child organizations in Bangladesh
Crish Morgun a journalist of Discovery Chanel came in Bangladesh from South Africa and visited National Children’s Task Force (NCTF) Rajshahi for experience the raw activity and advocacy of NCTF Members for children.

On 15 and 16 September 2015, Crish Morgun visited NCTF Rajshahi and talked with children’s to make a video documentary on children of Bangladesh regarding their advocacy and initiatives to protect and ensure child rights. He spent quality time with NCTF members and in his discussion he wanted to know about the working strategy of NCTF for children including stop child marriage, raising awareness among children, the way of collect information, child abuse and  violence issue.

Crish Morgun was very happy and impressed to know that National Children’s Task Force Bangladesh is the largest child Organization in Bangladesh deal with child rights situation monitoring and its execution process based on four cluster of Child Convention including Child Protection, Survival, Development and Participation. To support the journalist for his documentary there were Bangladesh Shisu Academy officer, Senior Manager of Plan International Bangladesh Mr Faroque Alam Khan; youth volunteer Rashel Ahmed and all members NCTF committee.

Small Initiative, Big Return

National Children’s Task Force (NCTF) took an initiative to support children for their education and so they gave educational material among fifteen children on August 8, 2015.

Development required education. Aiming the development of children National Children’s Task Force Rangpur distributed educational material including (Pencil, Eraser, Curter, Scale and Pen box) among fifteen children.  NCTF select those students from a school for street and drop out Children name “Alor Mishil “(Rally of light) .

Education is a basic right of Children. And our (NCTF) mission is to ensure child rights. We (NCTF) hope this small initiative may lead our nation towards big return.

Children urged to Government, Administration and Civil Society.

With an aim to improve the child rights situation in Barisal Division a Dialogue Session held on 10 August 2015, in Barisal.

National Children’s Task Force Barisal took an initiative to develop the four clusters of child convention (Child protection, survival, development and participation).Next to that they want to ensure the accountability of civil society and Government regarding child rights issues. The session begun with a video documentary named “Alor Moshal Bahi Shisura Ashbe”(Children will come with flame of light) on child rights situation of Barisal, got warm appreciation by the respective audience.

Children said that the coaching center is a major concern for the students (Children) of Barisal as well as the whole country. Students have to go for coaching seven days in a week which appeared as a barrier of their proper mental growth. NCTF members demanded a day off in Friday so that students can get a scope for recreation. On the other hand Jubaer Islam (NCTF Member) demonstrated the challenges of children in Barisal regarding school, library and educational issues. Pinki Akter(child) raise her voice against Child marriage and Eve-teasing. She also added her attempt to stop child marriages. She succeeds to stop ten child marriages including her school friend. Children raise various questions and their demand for improving child rights situation and the honorable guests discussed and share their plan for child welfare considering their (NCTF) proposal.

In the Dialogue session there were Jebunnesa Afroze MP (Member of Parliament) as the chief guest, police commissioner Mr.Soibal Kanti Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner Dr. A.T.M Mizanur Rahman and District Civil Surgeon. The program presided by Rima Akter (NCTF Member) and Jobayer Islam was the moderator. The program organized by NCTF and supported by Shisu Academy, Plan International Bangladesh, world vision and Save the Children.
